Old drains and the line to the street
Drains in older Los Angeles homes are often cast iron, and the sewer line out to the street is often clay pipe. Cast iron scales up inside over the years, and tree roots find their way into the joints of clay pipe.
When the same drain keeps backing up, Arie finds where the line is blocked and clears it, and if the line needs it, cleans it out with hydro jetting.
